New page

- Self care days DO expire. Last day to use your self care days for the year is sometime in December. Use self care days first.
- Education days and vacation days both roll over up to a limit. I think the limit is like a year's worth, but I'm not totally sure.
- Vacation days get paid out, for example if you accumulate too much to roll over all of it, or if you leave the company. Education days do not get paid out. I do pay attention to my vacation and education days so that I do not accumulate either too much.
- The difference between 0.9 FTE and 1.0 FTE is that you will be assigned 4 more hours of work with 1.0 than with 0.9. Usually, this is in the form of a half stack. The difference between going to 1.0 versus just doing two SRs is that you get benefits for those hours with the 1.0 (such as vacation time), that you wouldn't get with SRs. Another difference is that you then will be assigned 40 hours of work every single week, whereas with just doing SRs, you work those extra hours whenever you want and whenever they're available.
- Whether or not the call shifts count as one of your 4 days of work has nothing to do with the FTE status. You just tell them whether you want this or not. Some people who have a call shift on a Saturday for example will ask to take a Monday off or something. In the past, it has shifted back and forth whether this is allowed and I think it is currently allowed.
=Kind of related to that, in case there is a 3 day weekend federal holiday that lands on your usual day off, whether you work 3 days or 4 days is also by request. This wasn't always the case in the past and you can just request it one way or the other.
= Going down on FTE does not cause a difference in call. 0.7, 0.9 and 1.0 FTEs all have the same call.
