New page

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CMZVFEXAbf9OlDUsEOzbR9JJUql_xB0U

== Tips ==
From Jake, Cody, et al.
The most important thing I learned today is I think we should not be going by stat or asap or
routine, but by order location ("Primary Location" column, you can add it if needed by right
clicking any of the columns if it isn't there already). Much like our system, I noticed that stat and
asap do not always correlate to ER or inpt. ER says MH ED where as inpatients, like SH, have
some letter number combo (I saw 3RD a lot). Outpatients seem to be labeled MH "modality". I
had ED studies as routine today, just like we see at SH.
---------------------------
-Go by "Primary Location" column, you can add it if needed by right clicking any of the
columns if it isn't there already. Much like our system, stat and asap do not always correlate to
ER or inpt. ER says MH ED where as inpatients, like SH, have some letter number combo.
Outpatients seem to be labeled MH "modality".
-We used "Last Modified Time" for time stamps, as this reflects when the study actually hits
Pacs/is ready to read.
-PACS videos not very helpful. Fortunately the PACS is pretty straightforward. If anyone found a
video they thought helped please let us know which one. There are tons of videos on that site.
-Window/level presets are changed via the number pad. These are locked and can't be
changed, it seems. You can also manually window by holding down the right click.
-Other commands and hot keys (thanks Sean):
F9 put current exam back to unread list
F11 toggle full screen display
Ctrl-F5 return to default viewing setup
Alt-S show next prior
Binocs icon open search window
Circular arrows open in PS360
L in circle list of most recently view exams
Alt change window/level
Ctrl toggles tile window number: 1:1, 1:2, 2:2, etc
K link exams
E draw ellipse
W window/level
R ruler
F free draw
D density value at a point
A arrow with text
O magnifying glass
N cine toolbar
G draw a line
Powerscribe:
- Any custom folders did not import, and many of the macros no longer auto link zrefs, history,
exam type, etc etc. Koller/Jose are checking into some of this. It will probably take some time to
get macros running smoothly.
- A gem from Cody: to make it so when you open a study in Synapse it opens a report in
PS360- click the gear in the upper right corner for your settings -> workflow tab on the left-side
tabs -> fourth box down is dictation notification which you should check.
- PS360 for some reason is not working nearly as well as it usually is. All three of us
experienced this. Keep an eye out for a lot of typos.
- RVU is NOT listed under my productivity in their powerscribe, so difficult to track how much
work you actually do
-US tech notes are within the actual ultrasound images, usually towards the end of the
stack. They are also often their own series of 1-2 images.
-If you need to reopen a study that has fallen off the list (as can happen when you sign then
reopen or draft), I used the accession number in Pacs to search via the "All Studies" worklist
PowerJacket:
-The PowerJacket opens with every study and includes the list of prior exams. Below the list are
two panels, one with info for your current exam and other for the prior. In the top left corner of
each info panel there is the ability to select what you are looking at for that study. It defaults to
study info for current and report for prior, though this is configurable. NM doses are in
"documents" located in the powerjacket. This has a pdf including the dose. Super
inconvenient, but there it is.
- Study info is helpful as it has a reason for exam, which frequently does not population in PS,
as well as who ordered it and a number if outpatient.
- ALL priors are listed in the powerjacket. You can search though. I found "knee" doesn't get
you the knees as it has to be exact (and they do X-ray "body part" for example). However,
adding a backslash makes it so itll pop up regardless where it is in the text- so /knee will find
all X-RAY KNEE (as well as MRI and CT). You can double click it to open it in the viewer next to
your primary study.
- All priors are also listed in a small window in the top left hand side of the viewer on the diag
monitor. This auto sort by relevance, unlike the powerjacket list. If you click a study, it appears in
a timeline uptop you can scroll and it moves side to side. Thats how I found how to display more
than one prior at at time. You can left click and drag whatever series you want to a box.
- Epic, you can change up the SnapShot to look similar to ours with surg/med history and the
recent ER note. This is very helpful I found as we don't get a note from the techs with quick
basic facts like history of appy. There are a couple other tabs that show you recent labs too.
1st Tri OB exams don't seem to populate our list yet, likely do to LMH filter needing adjusted. If
called about one, I found it with the accession number in All Unread.
